Gold Coast Accommodation Discount Deals

Australia's Gold Coast is in the south eastern corner of the state of Queensland, extending southwards from Brisbane to the state's southern border. The region has a fifty five metre Pacific Ocean coastline, and the long beaches here are renowned for surfing. The liveliest suburb of Gold Coast is arguably the busy, high rise resort of Surfers Paradise, and the liveliest part of Surfers is the Cavill Avenue area.

The Gold Coast Highway connects most of the coastal suburbs, and anyone staying in one of Surfers' many accommodations will be able to quickly drive to other suburbs along the coastal strip. Families may choose to visit some of Gold Coast's theme parks, which include many of the largest in the country.

Three convenient theme parks for those staying in Surfers are in nearby Southport and Oxenford. These are Sea World (a marine mammal park and oceanarium as well as a theme park), and Wet'n'Wild Water World, and Warner Bros. Movie World. Families visiting more than one of these parks can economize by buying passes for multiple visits, such as the Three Parks Super Pass. It is also a good idea to buy tickets online before travelling to the park because ticket office queues can be very long when the parks open. Hotels, such as Sea World Resort in Southport, often have package deals available, which combine hotel accommodation with theme park tickets.

Many hotels offer Surfers Paradise discount deals, and last minute booking deals. Australis Sovereign offers major discounts for stays in standard hotel rooms, or in one or two bedroom apartments. The apartments have basic kitchenette facilities. All the rooms are air conditioned and non smoking. Minimum stays of 2-3 nights may be required.

Sometimes it is possible to find "Secret Stay" deals. In these deals the exact location and name of the hotel is not revealed until after booking. Some hotels use this method to anonymously sell rooms at very low rates, which can mean excellent value for guests.

It is 250 metres from the beach, and the accommodation offered has a view over the Pacific. The rooms offered in the deal have two double beds, and children can stay free if using existing bedding. The hotel is 4/5 stars and facilities include pool, tennis court, bar/lounge, restaurant and massage/beauty centre.

"Secret Stay" deals are non changeable and non refundable, but are nevertheless extremely good value if you don't particularly mind which Gold Coast suburb you stay in. Look for the "SHHH" and "Secret Stay" logos when searching for hotels.
