Located in Surfers Paradise on the Queensland Gold Coast, the Gold Coast Arts Centre encourages the participation in, and enjoyment of,  the visual arts by a majority of Gold Coast residents and visitors through the presentation of quality exhibitions and events, and the development and display of the Gallery Collection, comprising traditional and contemporary works by Australian and international artists and featuring artists and artworks from the Gold Coast region. The Gold Coast Arts Centre has regular live show performances and cinema screenings attacting some of the biggest name acts on the Australian circuit.

As would be expected the Gold Coast Arts Centre also hosts regular art exhibitions and competitions which are open to artists in the Gold Coast region. There is also a permanent collection of which alternating pieces are displayed at any given time. The Gold Coast Arts Centre also offers a number of activities suitable for visiting school groups.
