One of the shows at Sea World is in fact a short, twenty minute film, Ocean Rescue, about the work of Sea World's Research and Rescue Foundation, and the newest roller coaster in the park, Jet Rescue, is themed on the work of marine rescue teams. Sea World Resort is the closest hotel to Sea World. It is often possible to book an inclusive package or special deal here, which combines accommodation at the resort with entry to Sea World, or to other theme parks.

Sea World Resort aims to provide a family friendly experience for visitors to the Gold Coast. There are two water playground areas for guests, table tennis and volleyball, a playground and a Kid's Club playroom. In the evening the Kid's Club offers supervised games, dinner and entertainment for children (ages 4-12) so parents can take some time on their own.
