Gold Coast Queensland Australia: Weather to expect |
If we have been unable to help you with your Gold Coast accommodation visit oneof these other great websites
One of the most frequently asked questions about Gold Coast is, when is the best time to visit?
This depends entirely on you, your situation and preference. You may be a stressed singleton, whose love of partypoker or bowling with friends isn't always enough downtime to recuperate. Or maybe you need a family holiday. When you consider Gold Coast, take into account:
Gold Coast and the Seasons
If you are from the Northern Hemisphere, over here in the Southern Hemisphere our seasons oppose yours.
For example: from December to February, the Northern Hemisphere is in the grip of Winter. Over here we are in Summer. Your Spring is our Autumn, your Summer is our Winter. Therefore if you are planning a Summer holiday over here with the kids, the weather when you arrive, won't be dissimilar to say, a typical British Summer, because we are in Winter. Comparatively, the weather would be very hot on a Winter holiday for you.
Weather variation
You want a rough idea of the weather you are likely to experience, when you book a holiday. Of course we can't predict every eventuality, but we can give you an idea:
North to south - You will notice that the weather will differ dependent on where you are on Gold Coast. Coolangatta in the south has more rainy days per month than Southport, which is further north. However Southport has a higher level of rainfall overall.
Humidity - If you aren't a fan of humidity, March to October is the best time to come. The humidity is more noticeable in temperatures that are above 25c. Humidity drops during the day though.
Breeze - Coastal areas have the advantage of the ocean breeze to refresh and cool you down during the summer. Therefore you will find that inland areas will be a few degrees hotter.
